Another win for 1s as they get the job done in convincing fashion on the back of an all-round effort by @charispavely Unfortunately the only win this weekend, but some impressive performances in other grades. 👻 #feelthespirit

Young gun @bailey_abela16 produced the first of what will no doubt be many first grade centuries on the weekend. Opening the batting, Bailey’s efforts helped his team to a total that proved far too large for Blacktown in a commanding victory. This is Bailey’s fourth score over 50 in just 6 1st Grade knocks. Our 1st Grade women continued their strong season with a commanding win over Gordon on Sunday, with a number of ladies putting in impressive performances. 👻 #feelthespirit

Last Monday 4 of our own played a Remembrance Day t20 for the NSW Governors XI up against the ADF XI. Mikayla Kolbe, Kelly Rowlings, Amanda Bellamy, and Grace Augustine represented the club, with standout performances from our first graders Grace and Kelly putting the “Govs” in the winners seat. 2nd Grade put together a huge chase over the weekend as they continued their bright start to the season 👻 #feelthespirit

Young talent @cricketwithco produced his first Ghosts century in round 6, putting together a mammoth innings at the top of the order. In just his second 4th Grade game, Cohen opened the batting and was at the crease for nearly 80 overs to hold the innings together. Fantastic effort Co 👻 #feelthespirit

👻 Team of the Month - October 👻 Our first women’s team of the month is here, and it’s full of names you should probably get used to seeing! Plenty of great performances around the grades, especially the undefeated 1st Grade team. #feelthespirit

1st Grade stayed undefeated and took themselves up to 2nd on the ladder after a big double header on the weekend, whilst our other teams have progress still to be made. The big 40 run win against Parramatta is the Game of the Round on the back of an outstanding restrictive bowling efforts. 👻 #feelthespirit

1st Grade skipper @jmosca14 brought up his first century for the Ghosts on Saturday with an unbeaten 104. Justin found the rope 13 times and went over it once during his stay in the middle. Congrats Justin 👻 #feelthespirit

Our October @ecosol_sunscreen Women’s Player of the Month goes to @aurora_mavros after her fantastic start to life as a Ghost! Rory has shown to be an all-round talent with her recent century following up some more than handy bowling efforts. Congrats Aurora 👻 #feelthespirit

Toby Flynn-Duncombe was instrumental in 2nd Grade’s chase on the weekend, hitting 12 fours and 3 sixes on his way to a ton. It was an innings full of finesse and power as Toby notched up his century at nearly a run a ball with a huge clubhouse clearing six. Congrats Toby👻 #feelthespirit

👻Team of the Round - R3 👻 This week the team of the round is led by Tanmay Mehta’s fantastic century to keep 6s undefeated. Great to see players from all grades putting in high quality performances! 👻 #feelthespirit

Tanmay Ton 👻 @tanmay_m14 took the reigns as skipper for 6th Grade on Sunday, and produced a serious captains knock. Tanmay scored just over half the team’s 200 total, which proved to be more than enough to give the boys their second win from as many games. Incredible effort Tanmay👻 #feelthespirit

A mixed bag again this week as the Ghosts claim 3 wins for the weekend. Game of the Round was 1st Grade’s huge win off the back of an incredible batting effort, led by debutant @bailey_abela16 posting 81.👻 #feelthespirit

Taking over the reigns of the captaincy this week, Patty put on a serious captains effort to restrict his opponents to just 171. There were fantastic efforts across the club, with players from 5 grades making this team. A pretty good weekend for the Ghosts, winning 4 of 6 against Sutherland. Impressive starts to the season for grades 3-6, all getting off the mark with a win, whilst 1s and 2s have some work to do. Game of the Round this week is 3rd Grade’s remarkable victory, coming back from 7/81 to win by one wicket. @siddharth.p06 was the hero, guiding the team home with ice in his veins, after @patoneill98 produced an outstanding effort with the ball earlier in the day. 👻 #feelthespirit

Our September @carveeyewearau Men’s Player of the Month is here, and it couldn’t be anyone but @jake.scott10 Jake has had an incredible start to his Ghosts career, hitting bulk bombs on his way to raising the bat 3 times, as well as providing plenty with ball in hand. First Grade locked in a finals spot in the Kingsgrove Cup T20 competition on Saturday after going 1-1 on the day, with some new recruits once again showcasing their abilities. 2s opened their account with a bonus point victory in what was a clinical display on Raby 1. A perfect start for our First Grade boys, putting on great totals and defending them beautifully in both games on Saturday. Tough start to the PGs campaign, but they’ll be raring to bounce back when they go again in a few weeks time. The draw for our 2024/25 PGs season has been confirmed. We start the competition at home against UNSW, before a big double header on the 10th of November. Following that the boys will be on the road in their quest to make the finals for the 5th season in a row. 2024/25 shapes up to be another great season for our U/21s, and we can't wait to see them showcase their skills!👻

Ghosts Signing Announcements The Ghosts would like to welcome a couple of new players for the upcoming season, Jeremy Nunan and Jake Scott. Jeremy joins us after 2 fantastic years at Blacktown showcasing his raw pace and talent with ball in hand. Many of our 1st grade boys have faced Jeremy over the past 2 years and know how much he will bring to the club on and off the field! Jake has made the move from local rivals Penrith. He holds great potential and determination as a quality all round cricketer. We look forward to witnessing his abilities in the coming season for the Ghosties! Presenting our 1st Grade Captain for the upcoming 2024/25 season: Justin Mosca. After joining the club last year, Justin quickly made his mark both on and off the field through his leadership and performances. He brings plenty of cricketing experience and professionalism to the role, and with his endlessly competitive nature we have no doubt he can lead the squad to the next level in the coming season!👻

The Ghosts are pleased to announce that Mitchell Calder has been appointed as Men's Head Coach heading into the 2024/25 season. Mitch has been a part of the Ghosts for a number of years now, in both coaching and playing roles. Most recently he has been the Men's Assistant Coach, as well as being part of the PG's and Green Shield coaching teams. He brings a wealth of coaching experience to the position, including being a current Youth Academy Head Coach within the Cricket NSW Pathways, leading University of Wollongong CC to back-to-back club championships in 16/17 & 17/18, as well as being involved with Ghosts PG's and 1st Grade T20 teams that have made multiple finals appearances. We are looking forward to Mitch taking on the leading role and continuing to drive the club towards success. 👻

Congratulations to Luke Meek on taking his first 1st Grade 5fa against Western Suburbs in round 16. Meeky's 5/64 helped to restrict the opposition to just 188, which the Ghosts chased down with two wickets to spare, including Luke himself scoring a critical 20* to bring it home. Congrats Luke on an outstanding performance 👻

Congratulations to Michael Strong on taking 5/66 last weekend in 4s. Strongy has taken a number of 5fas for the Ghosts, but incredibly this was his first at Raby. Congrats again on a great finish to the season! 👻
